About This Trail
The historic fire-lookout and great views are what I'm talking about. The parking lot is right on the border and the trail is the most used in the wilderness. A lot of people will be on the trail on the weekend. It's a good idea to get a permit because you'll pass the rangers on the way up. It is an elevation gainer. You will know that you are on top of a peak. If you are a neophyte hiker, it will border on strenuous, but an experienced hiker will handle it well. It takes me about two hours to do it. The trail is beautiful but you should enjoy the peace and tranquility if there is no one making you crazy.
