Table Mountain Trail Loop via Charcoal and Table Mountain Fire Roads

The hike through the Upper Stevens Creek area is enjoyable all year long. You can start on the designated hiker-only trail on the side of the mountain. The walk down is full of diversions. You drop 800 feet and when you hit the spring you know you're close to clearing. You can see a lot of animals on the Table Mountain Fire Road. Then take it up to the top on Charcoal Road. In a distance of over a mile, strap on the heart monitor and just do it. There are a lot of bugs on this road and mountain bikes are only supposed to go up on it.
