About This Trail
It was very steep with large boulders. It was a great camping route. The name Swamp Lake Trail implies that it's a high elevation mountain route. The scenery is very impressive from high vistas along the route. You pass several excellent fishing lakes. The trail can be driven in a day, but most people stop and camp along the way. It's a perfect weekend outing. It is located in the Sierra National Forest. Large boulders and steep climbs are what I mean. There are places that are Muddy in places. There is snow in the early summer. The vehicles need high ground clearance. It's a good idea to have one differential locker. It is possible for a vehicle to be damaged. It's definitely not for stock SUVs.
