About This Trail

The 571 acres of the Stroud Preserve are culturally and ecologically important. The Water Stroud Research Center uses this rolling mosaic of once-pastured farmland, workings, and woodlands as a unique site for research. The trails in the preserve are easy to moderate. The Yellow Trail is a 2.4 mile loop trail that is easy to navigate. The trail skirts farm fields and forests occasionally. The trail is open to horseback riding and there are a few mucky spots where the horses have banged the dirt into mud.
