About This Trail

This trail isn't for pedestrians. It is a bad idea to run, hike, or walk on this trail. It is meant for personal use. It's a fun loop close to Denver. The trail is mostly in the trees. It is a great way to run in winter snow. East of Waypoint is a permanently closed mud swamp. Plans for the east end of F.S. It will be open after the reclamation is complete. It's the best time to go during June and October. It's located in the national forest. You can call the Platte Ranger District for the current conditions. It was difficult. There was a narrow and rutted area with washouts, small rock obstacles, tree roots and steep sections. It is not very difficult for a well equipped, hard-core vehicle. There is a chance of roof damage due to tippy section through trees. After maintenance, the trail conditions may be easier. It is recommended that hikers and horse riders watch for the trail.
