About This Trail

The views of Georgetown and I-70 are great. Mt Evans can be There are a lot of switchbacks. There are old log cabins along the route. Don't miss the historic Georgetown and the new visitor center. The parking space is limited. There is more room to park in the area where unlicensed vehicles should consider accessing. The best time to go is late June- early October. It is located in the Arapaho National Forest. Clear Creek Ranger District is prone to rock slides after periods of heavy rain. The conditions can change quickly. The road is rocky but suitable for high-clearance SUVs. If there is snow, stay off the road.
