About This Trail
The Sawtooth Pass has a great view of Mineral King Valley. The largest prominence in the area is at 12,343 ft. The views of Mineral Peak and the Mineral King Valley can be seen from the top of the pass. It is a must to go backpacking or camping at Mineral King. It can be accomplished in a day. The trail does not go to the top of Sawtooth Peak. The landscape is over 12,600 acres and has abundant wildlife. The hike is unique due to the geology, forest, and glaciers.
