About This Trail
The Barr Trail goes up 3.5 miles until you reach the Barr camp. Continue up the trail for a mile past the forest experiment station. It is possible to complete this route by following the off trail to the east. This route ends when you scramble up the boulder next to the fallen ladder. You can see the entire mountain range and Colorado Springs from the top. If you have more energy at the end, you can take a different route that takes you through Barr Trail overlooks, a cave, and the top of the Incline. The Barr trail can be used to return to the trailhead.
