There are about 5 miles of trail. The north end of the trail is called Reservoir Ridge. The foothills trail leads to the natural areas. You can see the way with trail markers. It's a good place to ride a bike for the experienced cyclist. Visitors to this foothills natural area can enjoy its rugged trails, access to the 8.2 mile Foothills Trail, and a feeling of remoteness, all close to Fort Collins. You can see a lot of dramatic rock outcroppings, grassland, mountain and ponderosa pines. The views from the trails are great.
