Rainbow Falls and Turtleback Falls Trail

The Horsepasture River has good camping and outstanding views of 4 large waterfalls. The trail should start on a moderate grade downhill. The impressive Rainbow Falls is just a few hundred yards down stream. Extreme caution should be used when viewing the falls from the top as every year someone is killed or seriously hurt in this area. The trail is not marked, but you can keep the river on your right and tent there. You can hear the water of Turtleback Falls after about 1/2 mile. This is a great place to swim. The Stair Step Falls are just downstream. Go back to the parking lot.
