A part of the trail is closed for the entire year. If you travel in a clockwise direction, you will be able to see the closure in less than a mile. The route includes a two mile stretch along a paved road. If you want to do this route but do not want to go north, go north on the Craig Britton Trail and then Harkins Ridge.
