About This Trail
The trail begins near some old mine tailings and goes to a small ridge and down to Pass Creek. The trail leads to several ponds that are good for fishing brook trout. As you begin climbing, the trail becomes more steep. The lake is in a basin. The most successful flies are found at the lake. It is a good overnight backpack trip with few visitors to the lake. There are several good campsites close to the lakeshore. Campers should use a small stove or build small warming fires if they want to cook. This trail is open to all modes of transportation. Motorcyclists must stay on the trail and avoid the wet areas.
