This area is popular with campers for fishing, bird watching and canoeing. The mountain air has a fresh scent of pines and aspens in the autumn. The campground host, drinking water, and trash collection are provided. The first-come, first-served sites are the ones that are called "walk-up" sites. The host uses site 6 from May to September. It is a first come, first serve site after that time.
