North Beacon Mountain and DAR Monument via Casino Trail

The trail starts with a steep incline and then goes until you reach the ruins of the railhouse. You should not stop at the ruins when you get there because they are very interesting and the summit is near the abandoned building. It is possible to find a monument behind that building, as well as a trail that goes up to the casino ruins. The trail has a great view of the Hudson valley, but it is hard to use because it is heavily eroded. The reservoir and surrounding ridge do not have any views to the East. Good hike, especially at lightly-trafficked times.
