About This Trail

Users have reported that the Indian Trail is closed on the western side. One of the most well known parks in the Finger Lakes region is Watkins Glen State Park. The glen's stream has 19 waterfalls that can be seen from the hiking trails. The gorge trail has stone steps and is one of the best state parks because of its spectacular views. The South Rim Trail and the Indian Trail give a good view of the gorge. Campers can swim in the Olympic-sized swimming pool, go on guided hikes through the gorge in the summer, stay overnight in tent and trailer campsites, have lunch in the picnic facilities, and fish in nearby Catherine Creek. The Watkins Glen State Park Gorge Trail closes during the winter. It was said in November - April.
