About This Trail

There is a spring fed stream called the Niangua River. The water is rated on a 1 to 2 scale. The country side is rolling wooded hills. Fees can be paid for camping on sand bars. It is popular for trout fishing. Bennett Springs State Park is where most of the Niangua's trout fishing takes place. Many people float the river at the state park. There is also an abundance of outfitters along the river. The stream can be crowded on the weekends so a mid week float is recommended.
