Mount Shasta Summit via Hotlum Bolam Ridge Route

The Hotlum Bolum Route is a great route because it has lots of different sections for different tastes. The climb begins at 11K when you reach the edge of the Hotlum glacier. The crux of the climb is the traverse at 12K to the bottom of the "Ramp" which is a steep slope up to the "Step" This section can be very cold in the winter and exposed to large crevasses.
