About This Trail
The second largest glacier in the world is located north of Highway 120. The route starts from the campground. You will eventually find yourself on a single track trail if you walk through the campground. It passes the Carnegie Institute Experimental Station and goes through the high Alpine meadow. The trail fades away as people go up the face of Conness. You will eventually find a way to the pass. There are several chutes towards the top that could lead to the ridge. The hike from here is easy, following a trail along the ridge to gain another 1,000 feet, and then following a ridge to the summit.
