Malvern Hill Battlefield Trail

The Confederates failed in their attempt to eliminate the Union Army in the Battle of Malvern Hill. Historical markers describe the action at all the important sites on the main field of battle as the loop trail winds through fields and forest. It is easy to understand with its open fields and broad vistas. The original structures of the West House are the same as the houses on or near the field. The trail is level because the "hill" is slightly higher than the surrounding areas.
