The families who operated Lees Ferry lived on this historic ranch. The families who operated Lees Ferry lived on this historic ranch. The families working at the crossing needed to grow their own food because they were so isolated. The desert was turned into a green oasis by hard labor. The main ranch buildings are up on the dirt road. A "Walking Tour Guide" can be purchased at the ranch entrance. The tour of the orchards, log cabins, stone ranch house, and pioneer cemetery is a one mile round trip. There are picnic tables and shade trees. Take water with you.
