The trail entrance is on a road. It The Lone Pine The trail goes into the woods and goes up a steep ridge. The Lone Pine Trail crosses the Ridge Trail. You can head north on the Ridge Trail. This follows a series of low ridges and crosses the Lone Pine Trail at the Madison-Guilford town line. The Lone Pine Trail enters the Rockland Perserve in Madison and then leads to the Mattabesset Trail. Continue south and return to the Ridge Trail. At the southernmost point, there is a trail that leads to a rocky knob with a panoramic view. The Lone Pine Trail is reached by the Ridge Trail, which turns nothernly. Go back to the beginning.
