About

The largest of Connecticut's shoreline parks is Hammonasset Beach State Park. There are facilities for swimming, camping, picnicking, saltwater fishing, scuba diving, hiking and boating. There are interpretive programs at the nature center. Rates start at $10 per hour and can go up to $75 per week with discounts for children. Helmets are free for riders under the age of 15. Lifeguards are on duty on Wednesday through Sunday. Free for Connecticut vehicles on weekdays; $7 out-of-state after 4:00 pm. Free for Connecticut vehicles on weekends and holidays at William F. Miller Campground. Excluding open sites, there are 558. It was concession, dump station, bathroom and showers. They were saltwater swimming and fishing. Individual fireplaces are not provided. No animals.
