About This Trail
There are two parking areas at the park, one near the big falls and the other near the pond. You can cross the river and railroad tracks with a road walk. It's more like an abandoned road. There are no hills and the tread is good. It was several days after the snowstorm when many of my fellow hikers were using snowshoes. It's one of the first places to get packed down after a snowstorm. There is a Giant Laurel. The trail goes over two stone bridges before it arrives at the Wadsworth Mansion. There are a number of side trails to take to Birch Ridge. There is a trail that leads to the pond. It is recommended that you use an offline map.
