It is easy to go to the cabin from the Gap. It should be easier to start from Jackson Lake. The parking area of the Jackson Lake Trail leads to the Pacific Crest Trail. Take the road until you find the parking area atVincent Gap. You must hike toVincent's Cabin. Some parts of the cabin have been unchanged from the pictures that were taken when it was there. It is an old west legends about the man known as TomVincent. He admitted that his real name was CharlesVincentDougy on his death bed. There was a run-in with a native american while the miner was wounded in the Civil War. It was in the San Gabriel Mountains that the old west was alive and well.
