About This Trail

Imported description
The Hunt Lake Trail is a hike that is just north of the summit of Monarch Pass. It is possible to see Boss Lake from the hiking trail that climbs to Hunt Lake at 11,476 feet. The Monarch Lodge is across from the turnoff for the trail. There is a road that needs a 4 wheel drive with high clearance. There's a trail to Hunt Lake that goes on the left of the sign. The recovery of the Greenback Cutthroat trout is supported by fishing restricted to catch and release. It is covered with heavy snow until the beginning of May or early June.
