Huckleberry, Fox Run, and Peninsula Trails Loop

You will be accessing this trail from the Duck Bay parking lot on Scenic Drive about 2.5 miles into the park. This loop starts just west of Duck Bay parking lot (with a short use of the Peninsula trail going north) and is also a popular mountain biking loop. This trail is single-track and can be slightly difficult and narrow at points. From the Peninsula Trail, you go north on Huckleberry Loop Trail, eventually reaching a point about a half a mile below Osprey Point then continue uphill and cross the Scenic Drive about ¼ mile below Osprey Point. You will then come downhill to the intersection at Huckleberry Bay. Then take Fox Run - a double track trail south (uphill). At the Fox Run Trailhead, go downhill westward on Scenic Drive until it connects with the Peninsula Trail at Big Rock Beach to take you back to Duck Bay. During this time the park is open to snowshoers and cross-country skiers. No dogs are allowed in the park during winter access season, except on Rover’s Round About (a dog loop for skijoring or snowshoe walking). This loop connects to other trails including the Peninsula Trail on the southwest side, if you wish to extend your trip. This loop offers great views of Payette Lake.
