About This Trail

The Coachella Valley Preserve is closed on Monday and Tuesday. The fringe-toed lizard is found nowhere else in the world on a 17,000-acre site in the valley. The Pushawalla Trail is located in this location and is fed by water from the San Andreas Fault. The Pushawalla Palms Trail is one of several well-maintained trails within the Coachella Valley Preserve, a 20,000-acre property that is home to sand dunes, groves of desert fan palms, and an array of wildlife. It begins near the visitor center and goes down a ridge of an earthquake fault to a palm grove and then back up through a scrub-covered wash.
