Four Peaks OHV Road #143 to Route 188

The road may close due to snow. Before you go to this road, please contact the park. This is a popular scenic driving route. There are many hiking trails off of it. It is not required but might be helpful. The route is a dirt road. It's allowed for dispersed camping. It's important to pack out all the trash. Don't leave marked roads and trails unattended. It is located in the Tonto National Forest. The Mesa Ranger District can be reached at 610-3300. This is a graded dirt road that has been washed out and rutted. Four-wheel drive is beneficial. It is possible that small stream crosses are possible. It is possible that there will be snow at the top of the fall and winter. The route is for driving. Hikers and mountain bikers can use this road. State Route 188 is where this route can be started.
