Flagg Kirkland Trail Loop

Nice area in the woods with several small streams to cross. Gentle ups and downs plus different environments make for a nice hike. Start from furthest parking lot in South section 1. From end of parking lot take Blue Diamond trail down into the woods 2. Pass first intersection with Blue trail to the right – continue straight ahead. 3. Follow the Blue alongside the creek until you meet the White trail 4. Take White to the left along Burke’s Run to the Orange blazed trail 5. Take the Orange to the left and south for a short while until it meets the Yellow Diamond blazed Flag Kirkland Trail. 6. Take the Kirkland trail south wandering through the woods until it meets Fairview Road. 7. Cross Fairview Rd. and continue on the Kirkland. Eventually it heads north and crosses Fairview Rd again. (When there are no leaves on the trees one can see the Delaware River below to the west) 8. The Kirkland wanders through the woods turning east before intersection the Orange trail again. 9. Take the Orange trail to the right and follow the path along the park edge 10. Eventually it crosses the entrance road and the White trail. Stay on the Orange trail along the creek until it meets the White trail again. 11. Leave the Orange and take the White to the left until it meets the Blue. 12. Take the Blue back to the parking lot.
