Stairway to Heaven Trail

The views, Good Bouldering Rocks, Bushwhack, and the steep climb are all paraphrased. The trail begins at the top of Wawayanda Mt. There are many large boulders that are great for bouldering. You can see the Vernon Valley, Pochuck Mt, the Kittatinny's, and the Black dirt region once you get to the top of the mountain. The trail goes up Wawayanda Mt to another lookout. This is when you start your Bushwhack. It is more like a bushwhack because you can't find the trail most of the way down the Mt. You pass a waterfall when you go down. The section is prone to unstable rocks. The route to take is the old Appalachian Trail, which is right on blue Livingston Trail. Follow the path along the mountain base to the trail.
