Edwards Loop Sky Trail

This hike offers a great view of Carquinez Straight, a great location for mountain bikers and equestrian riders. You can connect the Sky train to the Big Valley trail by going under the tunnel. You get to see many different areas up from the hills on the trail. There are some water views of the San Pablo and Carquinaz Strait. The trails are exposed to the sun early or late in the day. It is important to have a map with you. It's a good idea to watch out for mountain bikers. It will be a steep incline if you take the right side of the parking lot. The return is a little slower as it descends. The best spot is under a few trees. It's a good idea to look for ticks and poison oak.
