About This Trail
If you turn off of Mountain Road onto a state gameland road there's a sign saying "Not maintained in the Winter" and a small area to park. You can hike from there on the gated-off road. You can get to the intersection of the AT and Darlington trails if you turn left on the Tuscarora trail. You will get to the Cumberland overlook if you take the AT to the right. The Tuscarora trail is not used much and is overgrown with poison ivy, which is covered in pants and shoes. It is recommended that hikers wear bright orange if hiking during hunting season.
