Closed Canyon Trail

It is possible to go from the scenic River Road to Closed Canyon in a little over two hours. You can take the trail into the canyon as it goes back and forth into the canyon. You have to climb down past some boulders or drop-offs to continue. It is a slippery rock floor and you should watch your footing. The drop-off is close to the end of the trail. It will be easier to jump down to continue than it will be to climb back up and out. It would be very helpful if you have rope and climbing shoes. There are places to grab and places to stand for the climber, who has driven in a metal stake to tie off a rope.
