The Chorro Vista Campsite is near a north/south ridgeline. You will have a wide open view of the western and southern skies when you are located on a sloping surface. The campsite has great sunrises and sunsets. There are up to eight people allowed per site. The state parks of Texas have equestrian sites, as well as other options.
