About This Trail

Imported description
You can walk and stroll on the beach and a forest in the CapeAlava loop. If you wish to take the Cape Alava Trail to the beach and back, this is the information you need to do it. It will be a good idea to start your hiking at Lake Ozette. You can leave on a beautiful arched bridge. The trail to the left is the return trail, and will be if you make a complete loop. A cedar boardwalk is the result of your trail joining a forest of red cedar and other evergreen shrubs. The boardwalk can become slippery from wet or icy weather. As you head onward the elevated path gently meanders through the understory lifting you little elevation. The area called Ahlistrom's Prairie is roughly a 2 mile walk. At the beach, allow to you to witness the view of the creatures that live here.
