Cape Alava Trail

It will be a good idea to start your hiking at Lake Ozette. You can leave on a beautiful arched bridge. The trail to the left is the return trail, and will be if you make a complete loop. A cedar boardwalk is the result of your trail joining a forest of red cedar and other evergreen shrubs. The boardwalk can become slippery from wet or icy weather. As you head onward the elevated path gently meanders through the understory lifting you little elevation. The area called Ahlistrom's Prairie is roughly a 2 mile walk.
