The trial begins at the Northniton Gulch trail. The map shows you going uphill on Trail 8. The trail could be started by starting on the Cave Trail. This area is in the Idaho Panhandle National Forest. The area is very popular with mountain bikes and motorcycles. Users have reported that the trails are poorly marked. There is no actual cave on the Cave Trail. The miner dug a large hole there a long time ago.
