About This Trail

It was a steep, narrow climb to the lakes. The trail is fun to drive and scenic at the end. Look for flowers near the lakes. There is not much room for unlicensed vehicles to park at the start of Highway 550. The best time to go is in the summer. It is located in the San Juan National Forest. The Mountain Center is closed during the winter. It is mostly easy except for a section of road that may intimidate novice drivers.
