About This Trail
You can get to Cucamonga Peak from the South East on the Big Tree Trail. The road goes up to the trail head. It's about 10 miles of dirt road and a high clearance 4 wheel drive vehicle is best. You can begin hiking up the trail from the old campgrounds at the 10 mile mark. It is the most difficult part due to the trees and brush. The trail is better once you get the ridge and cross to the north side. "If you wanted to go to Etiwanda, take the trail and come back the way you came."
