At the end of pocket road there is a spot for a few cars to park int he western part of the fishkill ridge trail To get to the scenic ravine, the trail starts a moderate climb up the ravine. It's interesting when you cross the brook in high water. The cascade is known as Rainbow Falls. This is when the trail turns left and you can climb along an unnamed stream to a beautiful area where there is a maintenance road. Continue climbing after turning right onto the road. The dam forming the beacon lake is 1.3 miles from you.
