About This Trail
It is easy to lose the trail after leaving Second Water Trail for the Canyon trail. There is no trail up the mountain. Get ready to scramble. It is an achievement and a wonderful view. The terrain changes a lot from beginning to end. There are dead weeds with thorns that attach to your shoes and socks, so wear long pants. Bring your own water, but be safe. It's easy to miss the trail when you get to Boulder Canyon, but once you pick up the trail again, it becomes a rough boulder hike. You should stay on the trail and watch for the cairns. The advice to stay to the left side of the river is correct.
