About This Trail
Barr Hill is in the highest part of the city. It is possible to see from a field off of the trail the northern and southern regions of Signal Mountains and the southern Green Mountains. It's tempting to go to sleep after a while on the trail which passes through dark coniferous woods, which are lined with thick beds of sphagnum moss. Barr Hill is a great place to watch birds. There are hawks and ravens near trail lookouts that you can see with binoculars.
