About
The campground is tucked into the center of a geological formation known as The Gate. The Gate is an excellent location for picnicking and camping and ideal for fishing and camping. It is located north of Lake City on the Silver Thread national scenic Byway. The gates campground has 8 campsites and two restroom, a hand pump and water. If you have any questions, please contact the Gunnison Field Office.
