About this unit
South Gunnison and east Montrose counties wrapping the southern West Elk Mountains. Aspen and spruce-fir climb to alpine cirques in the West Elk Wilderness with the Curecanti National Recreation Area on the southern boundary. Predominantly GMUG National Forest.
