Tentrr State Park Site - Louisiana Fontainebleau State Park - Woodland L - Single Site

Fontainebleu State Park is located in Mandeville, on the North shore of Lake Pontchartrain. The park is only about an hour from New Orleans. Fontainebleau has a deep rooted history, with ruins to see in the park and an amazing visitor center to visit. Today, Fontainebleau State Park offers 2800 acres for campers to enjoy and explore. Fontainebleau provides countless options for activities, including fishing, boating, swimming and sunbathing, on the sandy beach of Lake Pontchartrain. There are nature trails to hike and explore - keep your eyes open for the many different types of birds, deer, and other wildlife who make their homes in the park! Additionally, an old railroad track that has been converted into the Tammany Trace by the Rails to Trails program. This serves over 20miles of the surrounding communities as an excellent path for biking, walking or inline skating. Located approximately 1.2 miles from the park entrance, Woodland L is a partially shaded site. You will be able to drive your car up to the site and park behind the tent and this site is a good option for campers with limited mobility or with young children who do not want a hike-in site. The site features a spacious 10 x 12 platform tent with a queen bed as well as a pop-up tent that can accommodate 4 additional campers. A picnic table, firepit and two Adirondack chairs are also included. There is a Tentrr Loo (camping potty) at your campsite for convenience. Campers will also have access to a modern bathhouse for showers and park restrooms just across the street from the campsite. The Space: Our easiest to access campsite, located close to bathhouse, approximately 1/2 mile from the sand beach on Lake Ponchatrain Interaction with Guests: Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location. If a Tentrr Host submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the state park property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set! Reservation Modifications/Cancellations: Please note the terms of the cancelation policy as they are outlined in your confirmation email. Your Tentrr Host is unable to change or cancel your reservation on your behalf, and they are unable to waive any cancellation fees (if applicable). Other Things to Note: - Do pack your own food, firewood, bedding, bug spray and flashlights - There is NO HEATER present at campsite. - There is no electricity at your Tentrr site - No running water at this site but located nearby. A 5-gallon water jug is provided, but not filled prior to your arrival - Anything you pack in, you must pack out. This is "leave no trace" camping. - All trash MUST be deposited in a designated receptacle at the end of your stay - If you do not follow this rule, you will be charged a cleaning fee - Have a wonderful stay!
