About
Poinsett State Park is located in the High Hills of Santee, where the South Carolina Sandhills of the Midlands region meet the coastal plain region. The High Hills of Santee are a mix of flora and fauna that is unique to the park system. Poinsett has a 10-acre lake that can be used for fishing and johnboat rentals. The park has campsites, a fishing pond, a coquina bathhouse, and pre-revolutionary grist mill ruins.
