About
The Chalk Creek Canyon is one of the most popular areas in the valley. This campground has 15 campsites. The site is close to the historic town of St. Elmo. The Iron City cemetery is located on the east end of the campground. There is an interpretive sign at the entrance to the cemetery. The Chalk Creek Canyon is only accessible to developed campgrounds. Campers who can't find a campsite in a developed campground may camp above the townsite of St. Elmo. The vault toilet is only available during peak season.
