About this unit
Central Lake County around Leadville and the upper Arkansas headwaters. Aspen and spruce-fir climb to alpine tundra above 12,000 feet with Mount Massive and Mount Elbert on the western flank and the Mosquito Range on the east. Predominantly San Isabel and White River national forests.
