About This Trail
It's a popular hard-core 4x4 route. The trail goes down a wash bottom before it goes across higher ground. It's a real challenge to ride ATVs and UTVs. It's open all year except for a few weeks when military training exercises are in progress. The main entrance at Cottonwood Canyon Road and Mineral Mountain Road has a date posted on it. If red flags are flying, the area is closed. For more information, call 602-364-2753. There are large boulders and obstacles. It was said to squeeze through narrow rock openings. There are very high ground clearance requirements. There is a chance of flash floods.
