About This Trail

Imported description
The trail is well maintained. The main purpose of the trail is to view wildlife. The trail takes you through wetlands, hardwood forest and some fields. There are many interpretive signs along the route explaining the local plants, insects, mammals, Rreptiles and Amphibians. Turtles are bathing on logs or snakes on warm days. The best time to hike is in the spring and fall. The trail ends at the bank of the river. The current of the river is so calm that you can paddle both up and down it. It is great to get out on this trail in winter.
