About This Trail
The road is made up of 30 miles of dirt road and 10 miles of paved road. The burr trail has something in it. It's possible for any four wheel or all wheel vehicle to handle this trail. The entire region is off limits to collecting petrified wood. There are three side canyons on the trail which you can explore. According to this quote, all three canyons do not allow traffic to flow down their banks. The Horse Canyon Trail Head has a trail marker that tells you only horses and hiking are allowed. The canyon has petrified wood. The camp at the dry creek is near the trail and can be reached just east of the canyon. It is worth the time spent standing back up.
